I have not seen these mentioned here so thought I'd see if the council had any interest. Just got the 43t pulley yesterday (havn't installed yet) and will get the turnbuckle links and anti rotation gizmo just for the cool factor. http://www.xtremecx2.com/servlet/th...ng-2/Categories
Long may the council stay in power

Sorry I don't like the belt pulley a little better quality belt sounds nice. But they are the only ones that have it scary thought And I dont have any problem with my tail at all so that tailgear would just be robbing power. The turnbuckles are awesome especially if your turning the woodies too fast like I am. And I wont disagree with cool cause cool is cool.
Just one council opinion hope theres more to come.

PulleyHi Tryan
I'm not having trouble with the tail either I bought the pulley on impulse. Not sure if I'll even tear her down to install it. I had just replaced the HS-50 with a JR S185 Now that was worth it much nicer servo 4 oz/in more torque and much better centering. I had not considered that the extreme pulley would rob power is that because of the diameter or weight or both?

Those EXTREME blades at $6.95 are probably molded plastic like the Blade CP Plasti-blades----cause much damage to everything except the $ 6.95 blades!!

I'll bet the small(if any)power lost would be felt in a more responsive tail....since I have power to spare ...I'll take that trade off.....I'll be a guinea pig........I've done it before and it worked out fine....I'll order it with some christmas money

BladesHi Douglas
Those blades get very poor reviews form the people that have tried them...too heavy and too much flex have been mentioned.

as mentioned already...plastic blades=BAD...been down that road.....I prefer throwing on a set of 10 dollar woodies as opposed to rebuilding half of the head.....losing half a day on a good flying day..BLOWS

NICE FIND! I had Ti turnbuckles on all my RC cars and loved them. Fine adjustment with any small allen wrench. I've been looking for these for the HBK2. Thanks for finding them for me.

I'm just saying that the bigger gear will create more loading on the motor that will cause more drain on the battery. Especially if your really using the tail. I would imagine you'll be sliding the boom servo for less pitch which may offset the drain of bigger gear and get you back to where you were at. Just stating physics but I got no real experience with it to back it up you'll be the first I know of.
But like I said I would hate to buy into that as the belt is different and stock belt wont work and the tension will be greater on the carrier bearings 10 extra teeth have to pinch harder to get it in the tiny tailboom.

Ok
That makes sense I guess at some point we get to the point of diminishing returns. I always try to give the original designers credit to... They felt 32t was enough. Thanks

good point, but consider the HBK was designed with a 9T brushed motor...so we are adding a 10T(some of us) brushless motor with much more torque for the tail to deal with

did you notice they are in MO.??
Was that directed at me? I didn't but its only 2 hrs away other than the turnbuckles I wasn't impressed with the rest. Anyone selling plastiblades is a turnoff.
I go to champagne IL once a year they are like the RC capital tower hobbies horizon all the big ones and hundreds of small ones.

I'm running the 3900 on 10t with Helimax carbon blades. I have tomorrow off so I'll just have to put it in and check run times ect.

hey fender get that telebee gyro on there then lets see what you think about the tail. I don't necessarily agree 10t more speed less torque so were actually blowin the tail harder than a stock so it should be compensating equally. You really are stickin up for this mod you gettin one?
Canton MO backyard flying club Club President Team No funds left.
For the tail, couldn't you get a similar effect by going to a larger tail blade? Sure there's less gyroscopic force, but all we really care about is pushing air. It be a lot cheaper and you could keep the inexpensive stock belts.
