i just bought a set of #427 blades from joe howard.i need feed back on people that use metal or plastic.its on a mongoose air star.and i need to know how bad the vibrations in a all metal head.with that big of a blade

air star mongooses are about the smoothest machine out there, I actually use a new harder o-ring in mine, and still no worries at all. I would definitely not consider switching to plastic grips, I'm pretty sure the aluminum ones from air star are in the same ballpark price wise, and the plastic ones are inferior in my opinion. And I have seen the plastic ones in person, I just replaced them on a freinds vario acrobatic with air star grips.

I have an Acrobat turbine and an Acrobat gasser and Iuse the metal grips on both. Both are smooth as glass, use the metal grips youn will be much happier. Craig B
