e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > What council and why bash trex?

Just curious, but when visiting this board I see lots of comments where the posters are 'Council Members', and it seems there is a common dislike towards Trex helicopters.

So my questions are: What is this council that everyone appears to be a member of and why do you all appear to dislike a fine heli such as the trex?

Is it a council of trex haters?

I'm an experienced flier, but relatively new around here. I heard about some mysterious "Helirati" known as "The Council" somewhwre (might have been on "Coast To Coast AM" one night when Art Bell actually showed up) and the best place to search for it was here.

Alas, like Bigfoot and Chupacabra, I have found evidence, rumors, and occasional spoor (known as Poo Poo for some reason), but most seem to believe "there ain't no such thing". The rest dart their eyes around before whispering of it, but stories conflict.

As far as 'Rex bashing, this group tends to not "walk the line" so much. If we were hype-buyers, we'd probably be in the Blade forums.
We realize that there are viable alternatives to the Trex, but generally, Trex-only owners tend to be a bit, "elitist" sometimes.

If you're a musician, Esky owners can be compared to pickers who realize that Peavey is actually a viable alternative to Gibson and Fender (apologies to fenderstrat).

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

GOOD Stuff Shizack, The council really doesn't exist, you know like the Mafia,BUT , If it Did exist we basically don't exactly HATE the TREX, But we are saying there are other fine helicopter besides the TREX and EFLITE, were are not gonna jump on board just cause everyone else has.
Alot of us started out in this hobby with the ECRA--I mean eflite Blade CP and Spent ALOT of money trying to get it to fly like our ESKY HoneyBee KING 2's. So that is why there are different categories, so if we JAB Align or Eflite a little here and there it's because we HAIL the KING here. JRETT, You seem like good peoples to me and you if really love your TREX, thats cool Heli-brother, thats why you got the TREX category. IN closing, The council is FORBIDDON to speak about said "council" (council law-chapter-2-paragraph-4--woops,I should not have said that)to a non-council member, if it actually existed, which it doesn't, so don't worry about said "council"

none needed.......I own a WASHBURN and a HAMER along with FENDER AND GIBSON....and have had several PEAVEY amps

as for the T-rex thing....my signature has been that way for months, way before the "council".....I, personally have a very valid reason for not liking the T-rex........first let me say....In itself, the t-rex COULD be a GREAT heli...the problem lies with its owners......when I was a total newbie and would post VERY legitimate, necessary newbie questions....people who ownwd a t-rex, that never owned a CP would interrupt the thread and say "junk that blade, get a t-rex"....now, they are on the CP forum, offering NO help, only negative bashing......Now,I have thick skin and it takes a lot to bother me,but this would happen on 9 out of 10 posts(others can back me here)...constant bashing...with no help given ,just wasting everyones time, not answering questions, and bashing every other heli out there except the t-rex....it goes on all the time...everytime a small electric other than a t-rex is talked about someone chimes in and says"get a t-tex".......it's rude, annoying, makes MANY people dislike the t-rex,and is just plain unnecessary...........there are other 450 size helis out there just as good if not better than a t-rex....and owners of those helis dont interrupt every other thread to tell people to get one....sorry for the rant but wanted to explain my signature....if the t-rex was the only electric heli on the market...I'd fly nitro

Non-existent Council once again questioned by those who don't understand. Me being a Non-Existent council member my lack of desire for the TREX is stemmed by the fact that that everyone said I had to have one. I personally don't know and wont find out at that price (Im poor). Irregardless if you love your Trex enough to fly every day thats what its all about. And us E-Sky fliers are all about flying.

What council

We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week, but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority, in the case of purely internal affairs, but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major issues...........

So all council members, if that is who you really are, are people who assume that because you own a particular helicopter that you don't own others?

I have a trex 450, a HeliMax Kinetic .50, and a Honey Bee king 2. Nobody told me to buy any of them, I decided on my own, pretty cool, huh...

I bought the trex as my second heli, first one being a coaxil indoor thingy. Then I bought the .50 and my most recent is my Honey Bee King 2. I figured that it would be a great low cost heli.

Does this mean that I should suffer from personal conflict because it's not natural to like more than one brand of something?

This seems somewhat silly. I think people recommend the Trex because it is a fine helicopter and like most people when they buy something they want the world to know they made a good decision. You council members taking this personally is a little silly. (Go easy on me with your bashing please).

I came to this forum because I have a honey bee king and I want to talk about it, but wow. I mean this is like the Harleys vs. Japanese bikes thing. Some people just like to bash something that is different. I have a harley, I have had sports bikes and dirt bikes. They are all different but that is what makes them good.

I'm done ranting.

I do fly it and it flies very nicely. I guess I'm just amused that you all get so worked up about what some jerkoffs say about thier TRexs.
So much so that you had to form a non existent council. And don't get me wrong, I don't care if you have a council. I think it's hillarious.

So anyway, my tail rotor belt (HBK2) is not tracking properly. It comes off the tensioner as it returns to the drive pulley from the tail. Any ideas?

The thing is is that we dont get worked up by the Trexs or the people that own them, JUST that a few think themselves above others because they bought something that they think puts them above others and makes them think by having such a thing makes them oblivious to all others.

Most of all, it is all in jest! And we welcome everyone! EVERYONE!

And I will say that I have NEVER had a question shunned. I am very new to helis and decided on an HBK2 BECAUSE of the laid back easy going nature of the people that i found on this forum (that and the HBK2 was a third of the price, he he he). And these said people, whom may or may not be on any said council, will bend over backwards to help and answer, and in some cases tease(when deserving).

All worked up, NO, having a little fun with, ABSOLUTELY!

jrett, I had the same problem with my belt, First I put larger washers on the bottom of the pulleys, worked well, then during a frame change I took the pulleys off altogether and lube the outside with silicone, haven't had a problem since, and I run at a pretty high headspeed!

I posted the same question a few days ago, and there were some good leads. http://www.runryder.net/helicopter/t391272p1/

As for the council,

The Lady of the Lake,...
[angels sing]
...her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft an E-sky from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Red_Sash, was to carry it forth!

Other than that, great price from Hong Kong.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing toy helicopters is no basis for a Council seat. If I went 'round saying I was Curtis Youngblood, simply because a chick in a wet t-shirt had lugged an EF Sabre at me, they'd cancel my subscribtion to RC Heli.
