| I crashed my honey bee king 2 over two months ago and have been waiting for new blades (backorder) since then. However, I decided to fire it up and make some adjustments to get it ready for flight again. That is when I noticed that the belt, as it returns to the main gear in the canopy from the tail, it comes off its track.
Has anyone else had this problem and how have they corrected it?
The belt comes out of the tail boom and goes behind a tensioner before making its way around the main sprocket, but it always rides off of the tensioner. I could understand it doing this if the tensioner was bent, but it appears to be very straight.
You know, as I'm typing this, it just occured to me that perhaps just rotating the tail assembly just a little bit on the tail shaft may change the alignment of the belt enough to correct the belt travel enough to fix this.
I'm going to try this, but in the mean time, I would appreciate it if anyone else could let me know if and how they dealt with this issue. |
