Gasser Model RC Helicopters > Fury Gasser!!

OK, I've been hearing rumors here and there about Miniature Aircraft building a Fury Gasser, and if they do (or should that be when they do?) I WANT ONE!

I talked with a heli shop manager and asked him about it and his response was "I can't say". So.....does that mean he doesn't know, or
does that mean he "can't say"?

Does anyone know anything about this? Can anyone say anything about this?

There have been numerous threads here about this. Do a search for Fury Gas and you'll find them.

Probably be closer to end of the year.

Update

Just wanted to update the thread. I e-mailed Miniature Aircraft and asked if and when they were going to have a Fury Gasser. Got a reply from Tim saying they were working on it but it wouldn't be out for another three or four months.

And I'm shure that is a 100% accurate estimate.

It ain't Wine til its time !

Steve, I've become REAL attached to my Xcell Gasser...I know how you feel, but just hang in there...Put you a 33 inch boom on yours, with a G26, or the 231, and have some fun
You'll make it

Ron Lund is getting some new engines in about two weeks...They will be the 231...I have flown this engine, and its a gear ripping son of gun..
I'm trying to convince him the G26 is a very worthy engine also, so I'm sure he will will have these too...
Many Regards,
Bill

Hey Bill,

I'd make some changes to improve mine but UPS has it taking it to New Hampshire.

So now I've really got the HOTS for a new gasser!

At least in the tests done with the XCell chassis last year, the G26 displayed far too much vibration in a typical 3D application. Even with taller gearing, at head speeds appropriate for aggressive 3D, it significantly shook the airframe.

It was not my impression that a helicopter version was going to be made available in the motors current form, however from reviewing their website, it doesn't appear that Horizon is actually importing a PUH version of the G26.

The 231 on the other hand seems to have inherited all the improvements of the 26 but is still fairly smooth.

The only difference would be timing , if anything between their heli, and plane versions if it did exist...I was under the assumption the G-26 was the airplane engine....During my own personal test, I went from rich to lean, and low rpm to high, and it passed with flying colors in my book.. I did notice it like richer settings than I'm use too, but I account that to more backpressure using the zimmerman/ MA for the older G-23PUH, nevertheless it was very impressive...You can see it at the Neural Robotics site: http://www.neural-robotics.com/ Pretty smooth heli

I think Min Air is screwing up dragging there heels on a New Gasser.

I have been waiting and waiting for the gasser of my dreams to come out. I am very close to getting a Benzin Trainer as I am tired of waiting.

Yet, Min Air still works on "other projects" and ignores a potential of income from the Gasser market.

Oh Well....

MA, PLEASE quit ignoring this customer base. We want the New gasser. Sooner rather than later.
