Seismic has tweaked the original shot and really brought out a nice amount of detail - click to enlarge!

I still think the camera's sluggishness would be quite irritating for me ... particularly as I'm used to nearly 2fps with my A620 .... roll on the DP2

Thats a great improvement in colour and contrast, care to share what you did seismic? My photo edidting skills are limited to cropping, rotating and hue/saturation/contrast I'm afraid!

My thoughts exactly.
I did the same thing, opened it in CS3 and tweaked it a little. Very good detail and easy to make into a good shot with simple color adjustments. It actually opened as a RAW file and I'm not sure why, since I saved it as a JPEG?? From the Photoshop Raw menu, I was able to make a nice picture from it.

The Sigma Pro Photo program is really very primitive. Fortunately it is also very easy to use. All I did was increase the saturation and sharpness a little bit. I really like the images from the Sigma It sharpen so very nicely.

I just used it to take some photos indoor for my contracting business. The image is really very nice. Comparable to my Canon 5D.

I saw your images on the other post Seismic. Very nice.

Thanks, I just took the Nikon D60 up for another spin. The images are not as sharp as the Sigma images. I used max sharpening on Photoshop on the D60 images and minimum sharpening with the Sigma Photo Pro on the Sigma images.

I think part of my problem is using the kit zoom from the D60. The images were better with a Nikkor 20 mm prime.

With the smaller resolution, but higher clarity, I wonder how well the images blow up to larger sizes. I read that the Sigma software has a large format output for printing, but doesn't look as good as a DSLR when upresed.

OK I will try to do some printing from the Sigma file. The largest I can print without sending it out will be 13" X 19". I will keep you posted.
