| I would not agree that Quick is junk. Yes, maybe their older models were not super 3D machines but their new heli line up is very 3D capable. Any heli can do 3D to different degrees, it's how you set the heli up. I talked with Irwin last week and they will have a new 50 this month. The prototype will be built next week from what I was told. Very compact, with flat fuel tank under the main shaft. Once that model is finalized, they will be coming out with a new 70,90 and gasser. The new heli line up from what I understand is designed for 3D. Their current heli line up is atleast 7-8 years old or older except their gassers. I don't know of any other manufacturer who has the heli line up that would meet the needs of any pilot out there. No one else has 3 nitro, 1 gas, and 5 electrics. I would not support a product that I thought was junk. I am an airframe and powerplant mechanic and commercial helicopter pilot, and I don't buy junk. I still have a few Robbe helicopters that I fly from time to time and would compare the Quick heli quality to a Robbe. Just hard to get Robbe parts in the US now. I just finished buiding their new fly, and it went together like a swiss watch. I wanted a larger electric than the trex 450 I had in Iraq, and didn't want to pay $5-600 for a lepton. Running 2- 3s packs in series for a 6s setup. |
