Micro-maniac,

Do you agree that it is possible to be in a situation where rudder stick is pushed Right BUT the heli is piroetting Left. This occur ONLY when the rate of re-sync (catchup rate) is MORE than the piro rate..?

if yes.. then please re-read my previous post as I have edited it for more clarity..

you are right to say that the piro direction will NOT change..

I think you're going to have to define "catchup rate" for me - Re-sync is not a rate but a shift of cyclic stick position in relation to heli orientation

The only time right rudder input equates to left piro is your perception of the piro direction when the heli is inverted - But right rudder input never equates to actual left piro that I know of

what I mean by catchup rate is; the rudder stick input required to sustain the tail to point at one direction when doing a regular (non piroetting) funnel.

For eg. upright nose down CW funnel requires constant Right rudder stick input to maintain the tail upward, else it is going to lag.

I think my defination of catchup rate is same as your resync, NO?

Ah no our definitions of re-sync are different - For me re-sync is positioning the cyclic stick in relation to the heli orientation - Syncing the stir to the piro

The rudder input that you give to hold an orientation during normal funnels doesn't really apply to piro-funnels - Piro-funnels you basically hold a constant piro rate and stir the cyclics appropriately - Control is mostly all in the cyclics and no reason to change cyclic stir direction unless you want to change piro direction in which case you must also change rudder input direction as well to have proper control of the heli in piro-funnels (which I wish I could do as I love seeing random piro reversals in piro-funnels)

Left Rudder Input = CW Cyclic Stir
Right Rudder Input = CCW Cyclic Stir
Period (I'm confidently sure anyways)
