You wanna impress me lets see a splashdown! REAL good looking sim though I downloaded a trial of clearview maybe your guys sim talk is rubbing off. I loaded it and it don't work I don't have enough video memory. Once again the sim loses out. I Have enough video memory I could choreograph my last 5 real flights to you by my memory. Im sure you wanna hear about them all right?

It's about 20* and snowing here in NY today so I'm flying a scale jet ranger over the water too..... I had XTR until tis week it had alot of scenery and helis to fly but I really like this Phoenix sim. The realizim is way bettere than reflex.. I wish we had more helis and scenes to work with but I'm sure they will come with time.. Back to sim flying maybe a hughes 500E turbine over water !!!!!

Ice has left here temp up to a whopping 40 but still raining. I just cant get enthused about the sim I got FMS. Too poor to afford a real one. Besides my pc video memory is too low. I have had a little fun with FMS when I hook pc to my TV 37" HDTV that makes it more interesting.

try your print screen key and open in paint program. It will save to clipboard and then hit paste in paint.

It’s Phoenix with the 1.05a beta. The heli is the Scythe 450 sized electric clone of the Trex 450 but with purple CNC parts and an interesting canopy. If you get close you can see Align on the swashplate. It’s the closest thing to an HBK2 in Phoenix. Flight wise its pretty close to the HBK2 but a tad more stable.

For splash down, Phoenix just added advanced water effects. Check out this video user racin06 posted (note this is a reduce resolution to get the file size down. In-SIM looks much better than this).

Phoenix is pretty light on video hardware, but I can’t get good frame rates with the new water effects on. I run it on my laptop with a NVidia Quattro NVS 128mb. Other than the water affects and antialiasing I get decent frame rates running full screen 1420x1050.

To get the screen shot I’m using Vista’s snipping tool under Accessories\Snipping Tool. I have the “gear” switch mapped to pause. Once in position I hit the pause switch and grab the section of the screen I want. The images are hosted on pbase (an image hosting site).

I’m boycotting the Seahawks ever since the stadium was built. They demanded a new stadium. It was put to a vote and didn’t pass. The governor overrode the public vote and built it anyway. They demolished the Kingdome which was covered and heated. Plus the loan wasn’t close to being paid off. They replaced it with an open air stadium in region that is usually cold and rainy in the height of the sport’s season.

This was all done while just a few blocks away, the aging Highway 99 double decker viaduct was cracking and about to fall down. Traffic engineers that have inspected the bridge say they wouldn’t drive on it or let their families drive on it. The viaduct is still standing and we get monthly reports about the “cracking” status of the raised roadway.

sorry to hear that Greggor but money always precedes safety. Im watching ST Louis tear Atlanta a new PooPoo.

BTW I only have a 32MB video card about 5 or 6 years old. Its an ATI all in wonder tv in and out every video connection you can imagine. I hate to upgrade when this card does everything I want and more.
