Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > RAPTOR 50 G-Force VS Kasama for Raptor 50

Looking to increase the response of my little Rappy and will like to hear your comments. Should I go for:

1. G-Force head and mixers or
2. Kasama head or
3. faster paddles like the Stubz and faster servos.
or a combination of the above

Curently I am flying a Mavrikk metal head block, red dampeners, green (light) TT paddles a .12sec servo on collective and .19 servos on cyclic, all over 110oz-in torque.

The T-Rex 600N head is also an option, and probably cheaper. If you just want faster cyclics, try the super stubz paddles and the align 440m flybar.

USE LINUX!

Kasama is sweet head and cooling fan too !
Its a litle more expensive than other heads but its awesome

You do not need stubz for R50 ... the ultralight paddles from TT is some great fast response (you can get blue, red, green paddles-all the same)

I vote for the Kasama head – it also comes with a washout set.

Kasama is definitely the best investment I have made in improving my Raptor’s performance.

G-Force if you want performance over bling. G-Force's "o"ring damping system really improves the heli's response, and the G-Force mixers open up the pitch range quite a bit!

I highly recomend the stubz if you want lightning fast cyclic. They are definitely faster than any of the TT light paddles---for 45 bucks, they should be. Will be a more noticeable improvement than a different head at a fraction of the cost. However if your looking for more pop, than you will need one of the aftermarket heads with adjustable mixing to get the added pitch.

Not sure why you are saying that since the subject isn’t
"Bling my Copter" and everyone is on point, even if they are not saying why they pick Kasama or other, their comment is appreciated.

As a matter of fact, I hate to add anything to a heli that is not functional.

I went with the Kasama because I wanted better performance than the stock head and honestly it looks allot nicer than the G-Force. I have been very happy with the performance of the Kasama and I get allot of positive comments at the field about the looks of the head.

I have not flown a G-Force so I don't know how it fly's compared to the Kasama, I do know that the Pitch range of the Kasama is greater than a Hyper 50 can handle without bogging down.

I have decided to go with the GeForce block and mixers partly because of cost. The Kasama is a definately a great head in all aspects, functionality and beauty but I figure that the two most important pieces are the head for the improve feel, and the mixers for the added pitch range. The rest is nice but I can do without.

I also ordered the Stubz and the 440mm flybar to see how crazy this thing gets, and to match the abuse, the new 8.7 gear ratio is going in the Rappy to give the Hyper a bit more breathing room.

Thanks to all for the advice

Good choice – they both fly the same but the Kasama looks a million times better.

Why did G-Force make that thing so ugly?

Grand RC.com is $239.00

Z-RC.com has them on sale for only $219.95

Grand has free shipping and Z-RC it’s $4.95 so you only save $5.

Its been a while, but I ended up going with the G-Force head, mixers and the Stubs.

I also modified the flybar carrier to reduce the flybar ratio. The R50 is fast or faster than anything I've ever seen in a XFC or IRCHA Jam demo. It also tracks better in Fwd flight.

Knowing what I know now, I would have kept the Mavrikk head block, make the long 32degree mixers and flybar carrier mod. That alone made the Raptor50 fly as lively as any helicopter can get, short of a VBar.

The STubz help, but not $44 worth a difference.
