Hirobo FalconSomeone just gave me a Hirobo Falcon in perfect working order. He tells me it was built 29 years ago and it hovered once. I have not had a chance to take off the canopy yet but I'll mess around with it tonight and post a picture. It may even make it to IRCHA.

I picked up a SCHLUTER HELI-BABY in fair condition, should be no problem getting it airworthy....I will be able to make IRCHA this year with the weeks difference in scheduling.
I think it would be cool to group in the pits, maybe even have some pit space assingned during pre/registration just for vintage heli's.

"Head" Count please...Is the word of the Vintage Gathering spreading yet? How many pilots here think they're going to be able to bring at least one oldie? This thread is too quiet and we should be making some plans for this event.

Thanks Bill! It's great to be appreciated for flying something "easy" I think it's easy anyway...
I'd like to outfit one of my Futura Trainers with the same gas conversion system. Been saving one for just that purpose. How could I piece one together? I have engines and many Trainers but don't know about the rest of the parts needed, no references.
Thanks!

They had a conversion kit, mainly the motor mount, hub, belt and clutch bell.
They are still around..I would inquire over in Europe, most likely that is where you will find it if you want it factory stock.. I believe Stet here on RR found one not to long ago with his conversion. I'll keep my eyes open for you Bill

Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.

Thanks for the info Bill. I'll do some asking but I remember when HUI listed the conversion kits (bloody expensive) and there wasn't a breakdown of what was needed or included. I really need to see exactly what these part look like.

Are you buying?
By the way, just got off the phone with Gene Rock. Very interesting 1.5 hour conversation. Much subjects and heli history covered but he had to end the call early. To be continued...
Anyone know how to contact Fay Peoples?
