Anyone know, or has anyone tried to see if the Fan Shroud of a Trex 600N or the Vibe 50 would fit in the Xtreme?

I got a helicopter for my girlfriend,

shroud

I know the shroud looks short but, I have over 70 logged flight on mine and never ran hot. Always starts and runs like a clock, Why worry about trying to fit other parts from other helis to the Xtreme when what it has is working fine?
Take a temp, gun check your temps and set your needles as needed and leave it, just burn fuel.

I have had both the trex and xtreme with the same equipment installed. The Trex always ran a couple of clicks leaner (staying cool)

So i tried to ge tthe trex fan system into the x but no joy. The x fan is smaller in diameter so will fit in the shroud. However the shroud locations are a little unworkable on the x.

I feel a better shroud and bling fan would be the icing on the cake with this machine!!!

I run the same engine/muffler combo on a Hurrican and on a Trex 600N. The Hurrican always runs hotter. I read that it is not a fan issue but a shroud issue.

Then I paid more attention to the shroud design on both. Sure enough - big difference. The Align is completely enclosed, so the head of the engine sees a lot more cooling air. Makes sense.

I noticed from pics that the Vibe 50 looks to be fully enclosed too. Wonder if it will fit???

Hi Guys,

I believe for those flying in very hot weather, a longer shroud and new fan is coming.

You are correct, we will have a new metal fan and longer shroud coming but it will be awhile. The current shroud can be extended with out to much trouble if you really wanted to.
We will keep you posted.
