I don't love it I live it the bobs are gonna institute a new program Monday where I work to make the work area more visually appealing. Now how the hell do you make work more visually appealing? Unless beer and strippers are what they have in mind I'm not gonna be impressed. I just hope they don't fill my test lab with crap so I cant fly my king during breaks!

So about the pinions, sadly all of them seem to get bad reviews on HD. It seems you really need a little more metal for the grub screw other wise it will strip or come loose. Lets not forget the reason for this thread, failure of the pinion.

I have another idea. Maybe I'll try out a 2s A123 pack with a 20 tooth pinion. That'd give me a head speed just over 3000, 2300mah and 140 grams. Assuming the motor can operate efficiently at that slower speed. That would solve my pinion issues, but I'd probably need different ESC.

More teeth more circumference more metal. I just popped a tooth right off when i was using an 8T. Luckily I was landing.

Gregor, I wasn't the failure of the pinion gear, it was my failure to use LOctite and or create a notch in the mainshaft. I don't know why the pinions get bad reviews, I love them, the backlash has to be right, give them a try , its cheap money !!

I just bumped the review on HD for the 10t brass pinion. Everywhere I looked gave bad reviews I was gonna replace mine with a steel one. but I don't need to this one works just fine.
