All that's left to do is tighten down some screws, install the receiver and gyro and she'll be ready.

What would you guys recommend for an air filter?

Benzin looking ready nice.

I'm running the stock air filter but will install the CNC carb adapter with a K&N filter soon.

Got any pic's of the CNC router. Was that a DIY CNC?

Nice looking frames. I use a filter that's sold for the Spectra G, works great and would look good with your heli as it has carbon front and back plates.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have in it so far?

I learned to fly inverted, I just stand on my head

The frames set me back about 320.00

If I total up everything including the heli itself, it comes out to about 3500.00

Plastic blade grips

I'm new to this sport and looking for ways to cut expenses. Please explain to me why you would use plastic blade grips on such a large expensive machine when CNC aluminum grips are available. Aren't you afraid of bubbles forming in the injection molding process. I would hate to have a $3500.00 machine crash because of possible defects that I can't see. Isn't plastic also subject to fatiguing from heat, cold and UV radiation?

plastic blade grips causing crashes

Hey EastCoast, don't even give those plastic blade grips a second thought.

They are fine, I have them on my Benzin.

Out of the thousands sold only a couple have been found to have the bubbles.

There are so many other things that can contibute to a crash that no one has ever been able to prove that the bubbles caused a crash.

Plastic Grips???......

As stated a "very rare problem", and I haven't heard any mention in the last couple of years, until this post... my original machine is now 4 yrs old and nothing wrong, and my other two also use the Vario composite grips and no signs of wear or any other problems.....take a look in my gallery to see what they are carrying.... a bit more weight then the standard Benzin!!!!

Beautiful work on your machine... hope to see some flying shots soon... Best of Luck with it....Stan

If there is a cure for this, please don't tell me about it!!!
