I would think that maybe they are lighter and more rigid.

Nice flying Kyle, and nice camera work Raymond (I assume??) It is hard to keep those little Bandit's in shot, they are just so damn fast. Just look at the cyclic speed on that thing and not a hint of a load up..........nice

Ray, awesome flight from KYLE as always, i have a question, as i know he flies a T-rex 450 as well, what does he think about the differences in the two?, i cant wait till these darn bandits are out, i love MA, but its hard to judge a heli when a top pilot like KYLE is flying it, he could fly a rock and make it look awesome, i want to see a normal nobody like myself fly that thing and see how it feels compred to my 450 rexes...Ivan! By the way great skills in doing the video, that thing is fast, its very hard to follow that bird with a video cam!

Just to jump in on that question for Kyle with my own thoughts. I owned a T Rex 450 SE at a time and it spent more time on the bench than in the air. To be fair I still flew it like a big machine and expected it to react like one, but it just didn't.

When I had the Bandit over here for that all too short time, I was never in danger of crashing it as it flew so different to my old Rex 450 it was like night and day. I have flown ALOT of 450's since that and I just thought "thats just the way they all fly" but noe I think differently. Now that says something about my flying of 450's I know but it also speaks volumes about the Bandit as a fast, solid and true flying machine.

It has genuinely given me back that confidence of flying 450 helis that I totally lost with my Rexy, and I have that excited feeling that I haven't had since I was a child on Christmas morning, when I think of getting my onw soon. Thats just my take on things of course...I'm sure Kyle will have his own thoughts.

Hyperion 2100 & 2200 3S packs.
You can get around 5 minutes of moderate to heavy flying.
We have not tried 4S. I'm sure that someone will.

Thanks! I have videoed him enough that I can usually keep up but with this machine and the 200 it has gotten very difficult! Plus he started messing with me and changing up his routine.

Ray do you think an Evolite 2500 pack would fit? Does there seem to be more room with the setup you currently have?
And when landing are the packs cookin pretty good? I fear that motor may be abit amp heavy in general which is why I ask....

Another MA pilot is using the evolite 2500. I bought them for my 450 I was impressed.

if ur planning on getting the -6, i would definitely recommend the 2500mah pack. from my experience with the bandit so far, they fly very well with the 2500 packs when using the -6. as you've seen in the vids, its more power than you could ever dream of on a heli.

Yes it looks super fast on the head, which is appealing, only I wonder how it might fly on the Scorpion 8 with abit less HS? All the vids I have seen are with the Scorpion 6 and flight times are pretty short. Don't get me wrong the performance looks great indeed.

Oddly enough, no. In both of our posted videos, the motor, ESC, and battery were just barely warm. (yes it was only 35 degrees out)

Flight time on the 2100/2200 is about 5 minutes of hard 3D flight. This uses about 76% of the pack capacity.
Longer flight times are possible depending on flying styles.

The videos are shorter because of Kyle's cold fingers and I tend to cut parts were we were talking.

Our original flights had a slower head speed and the head responded exactly the way you would expect it to. No unwanted tendencies. The snap was just a little softer.

It is roomy in there but I don't have Evo 2500 pack to try. Our 2200s have no problems.

I must say I tested the FlightPower EVO 30's, EVO 25's and EVO Lites back to back on the Bandit (with Castle Creations ESC and Scorpion motor) and my pack of choice was definately the 2500mAH EVO Lite. There was little in difference (only slight here and there) in actual performance but the EVO Lite was able to provide me with 5 minutes plus flights, running 3000rpm headspeed with a performance every bit as good as the larger C packs. Temps after flying with all packs were cool to the touch (I didn't temp them with a gun as I knew there was no need), and therefore well within the pack limits.

The Evo Lite is an awesome pack with the new EVO Lite V2 packs having a slightly higher C rating than the previous.

For anyone interested the MA website has some new pictures of the Bandit. Looks great! Just out of curiosity, is there anything special about the Flightpower packs or did MA just put the Xcell logo on them?
