| Seriously considering the HBK2 as a winter/indoor garage trainer, but need some advice. I cannot fly yet but have crashed my Raptor 30 Nitro twice while learning. I can bounce really good. LOL
So till now I have spent a lot of money already and have a 9C radio, 401 gyro which I could use for a Micro Heli.
Should I ? ( with a budget of about $400)
A) Purchase it(HB2K) before I sink some money into my T-rex SA 450 ARF(It was a gift) that is just sitting waiting for the unexpected expenses such as Li-po, servo's, charger, reciever, 12V power supply etc. = around $600.I would train in my garage during the cold Canadian winter. Maybe take it out on those warm chinook(above zero) days.
Is it good enough to learn on? It looks so apealing, because you get the chargers, batterys and everything you need to fly.
B) Wait until I have enough money for all the extra's to get the T-rex up and running. Is it that much better to learn with?
I know that getting parts for the HB2K would be a little harder. I have read all the posts on RunRyder about the HB2K and realize that I should really get 2 of them(one for parts) plus brushless motors as a minimum.
C) Or sould I use a combination of A and B above and slowly build up with servo's, batterys etc. that will work in both the HB2K and the 450 T-rex.
I just as many on this forum do, want to have as much fun as possible and learn how to fly those little flying beasts.
Thanks in advance......Tim |
