I was thinking that with short blades in relation to the longer tail boom would make the heli a little slow to roll and pitch.

Nope - more the max piro rate, which can be set to be lightning fast with the longer blades or the shorter blades so not of any significant consequence.

But maybe you could ask Antonio before any get sent out to dealer or distributors

Specially any distributors who spend a lot of time answering technical and other questions for their customers here and on other forums.

Maybe in the future I should only answer questions about Century product that are posted by our customers Canadian customers

no I appreciate your honest answer. I will certainly try the longer boom first and will report what I find.

Bdmcobra,

Yes, I read all of this thread so I am aware of them being available, and have some enroute as we speak.

Check out bellecrank's post on the first page of this thread - Seems like you are doing exactly what he described.

move on from that experience and get one, you cannot let that get in a way of you not owning one, and having fun flying a swift.... If there is a will, there is a way.

Talk to Joe, he is good with his word, and I bet he will do his best to get you one. Get on it, get your swift.

Will the 620SE fly on an 8S 4000 pack? If I could series a couple of my 4S packs, I might get one.

It will do more than fly! 8 cell will turn it into a rocket and fly very well with the 650A motor and the correct pinion.
The 650A and two 4cell lipos is my next upgrade after I burn out my 600+ spinning 600mm Radix blades on 9 cell A123 with the 80/100 electron ESC.

Cry me a river...

As a former employee of Century/Heli-World. I can tell you this, as a sales representative, they call each customer that has a back-order item in "Point of Sales" every morning. I used to have a log of customers account number, and when a part is in-stock that customer will receive a call. Keep in mind that the item will remain in your name for an x amount of time, and if you do not respond it is sold to the next person.

The unsung heroes in Heli-World are the managers, especially the sales reps. They are the ones who listen to every problemsm and has been working in that environment for years. At Century Helicopter, one can be qualified for a degree as a therapist, as well as an investigator due to the fact that there are customers who are mainly riding the old enigma of helicopter worlds customer service and will not compromise to a clear solution.

I think your order fell through, because you did not respond, but then again if you really wanted it you could have re-ordered the item. But nevertheless, you are now flying a Trex.

But did you know that the Swift is better? Allow me to use a car insurance as an analogy. "GEICO" Even a caveman has a sense to use it. Get a Swift, and your wife will love you for it, because it will not burn a hole in your wallet, and now you have funds to buy her flower every now, and then.......... Make that switch, don't deny yourself of entering the gates of heaven, like they said in the hobby verse 101, chapter 1 through 10 "Those who has lots of toys will enter the pearly gates of heaven"

I could be wrong Antonio but saying "cry me a river" is probably not the best way to get him to buy anything ever again from heli-world......Ron

I have had nothing but good luck with Century products. I did not like Heli-World's crazy shipping prices, so now I special order everything from my LHS. Usually there in a few days, NO shippping. And, my LHS benefits.

Question...

Hi guys I read somewhere that the 600A motor can handle an 8S lipo with an HV ESC and an adequate pinion. Can this be done? Can someone guide me where I could get such a pinion if this was possible? I know Century will not have one...
Or should I just buy the 650 and HV century ESC? As I got a good deal on this heli with the 6S power system but would like to have mine on 2 X 4S packs...
Regards,
Homero

May I suggest that you start a new thread asking that same question - may get more people looking at it.

Or phone Century's 800 line and ask Joe.
