Taking the advise from this forum, I have been running the training program on my new simulator (Pheonix) using the Tx that came with my new HBK2. Pheonix does not have a sim for the HBK2 yet. Does anyone have any recommendations which hilo sim most closely mimics the HBK2? OR have any sim settings that will come close to approximating the real thing?

Thanks

I cant really answer that but Ive found a trex on the sims I have flown are quick enough to compare to the HBK2.

I'm not familier with the Phoenix sim, I have a realflight G2 ,But I find I am only using an ESKY flight sim radio with the FMS program and there is a heli on there called THREE DEE that most closely resembles the flight of the King 2. But don,t go by my opinion because my king is no longer a regular King, its more of a mutated freak .

I have the HBK2 and Phoenix. The Trex 450 3d variant is very similar to the HBK2. The Trex is a little more stable, but you can compensate for that by turning the sim speed up to 110% to 120%. Phoenix has another 450 that appears to fly the just the same as the Trex. Its called the Scythe which I suspect is a fictional heli. The thing I like about the Scythe is that all the metal parts are Esky purple. The canopy is greyish blue with large black paw prints all over it. A funky looking bird for sure.

Pheonix has one 300 class heli, the Spark. Its comes with rate gyro had flies much worse than Blade CP. You can change it over to HH gyro and its a little easier to fly. But I find the feel of the 450 (Trex and Scythe) is a little closer to the HBK2 experience.

Thankx I've been using the Trex with the training kit (I think...). I'm working on nose in hoovering. I still don't have that down. I'll try the 450 with the settings mods.
As soon as I find the time I'll be taking the real thing out and trying some basic hoovering...
