e-Gaui Hurricane 200 & 550 - EP100 > Gaui 200 Battery Options

Just picked up a Gaui 200 after seeing the video of Kyle Stacey doing to 3d. Looks like a great little heli. Right now I'm just hovering it on a blade cx battery (I don't expect it will last much longer) and I'm curious what parameters people are recommending as far as battery options are concerned. I'm thinking about using something from flightpower, probably evolite 800, they're rated at 14.4 amps continuous, is that going to be enough to run this machine well? I was also considering weight like how heavy can i go with a battery?

If anyone knows
a. what amp draw I should be looking at
b. maximum recommended weight of a lipo for this machine.
c. what lipos is everyone else using in their gaui 200s

Thanks everyone.

I know the Eflite battery is not really up to hard flying, The heli seems to hold headspeed better with a TP Prolite 730mah. The Prolite is 35g and the heli comes out a little tail heavy for me with the fiberglass
canopy, and a Logitech gyro. With the Eflite (45g) it comes pretty close to perfect CG. The only FP EVOlites I saw (800mah) were too long to fit under the canopy (unless you could place the gyro someplace else) Not sure what the weight difference is going to be with the lighter canopy, but am going to wait on that before making a final decision on on batteries. ( the fiberglass canopy is 25g)
I think my auw with the TP730 is 265g.

Bob is correct.
The Eflite works but isn't up to the current draw for aggressive 3D flight.
We have used the Gaui 2S 800 packs with very good results.
The Hyperion 2S 800 also works well but is a little bigger.
Like Bob, The EVOlites that I saw were too long to fit under the canopy with my configuration.

You need a battery pack that is max 31mm wide to fit between the lower frame sections. (to get the best balance)
