Hey Everyone, Just want to show off my new Trex 600 project. It will have a 3 bladed head and will be painted like a SoCal Edison AS 350 A Star B3. I am planning to have it done by the AMA show 2008 at Ontario, CA. More pictures and build progress comming soon.

Hi there

That heli is looking good, a find example of a AS350 that looks half decent!! Can you tell me who makes this fuse?

Cheers

Nice work, Miki...I always love your scale work. Working for SCE myself, I rather like the subject of this project, too.

Is that the Thunder Tiger fuse?

This Fuse I got directly from Hong Kong, through century-rc.com. I am not sure who makes the fuse but I don't thing its a Funkey Fuse. I usually get all my Fuse's from this guy especially because century helicopters is to expensive. This Fuse is painted in a military paint scheme and comes with wire cutters, antenas, rocket pods, rockets, recessed windows. Just a great kit and has holes already made for TREX 600 or raptor 50.

HeliPolski,
Can you give us a name or some way to have access to buying this fuse? I am in the market for an A-Star.

Just go to www.century-rc.com, it is under the fuselage section. He only takes paypal so you have to have paypal.

My freind has a machine shop and he is making me the head. The blade grips are going to be stock align metal grips, and the swashplate he is re-drilling also. The Blades I am going to get from starwood scale models. They are just the perfect weight, so you do not need any electronic mixing.

Update for this helicopter. Well got the 3 bladed head, getting the swashplate drilled out as we speak.

Also very cool thing. JMD models has just realeased the new SLS system (Scale lighting system) Super dupper small will fit in the most smallest helicopter or airplane. Real actual LED strobe, not the on, off type. Landing lights, navs, and beacon. It will be sold at the AMA convention 2008 and is on the website JMDmodels.com

Here are a couple of pictures of the head and Lighting system

Why is the army green color with the top photos not so real? It'd probably look more realistic if it was darker. Or is it just me?

He's modeling a civil heli belonging to a Southern California power company. The SoCal Edison AS 350 A Star B3 is not OD in color.

Great project. I'm watching this thread. I'm planning to get this one since it's very Trex-600 friendly, virtually no modification needed.

One thing though: how are you going to access the main lipo? Through the windshield?
