| Belt CpI have the belt CP, and my brother in law has the King and King 2, which I set up for him as they are his first helis.
The King has a better power to weight ratio, but the CP is really another class heli. It is a little tail heavy, but smooth as (the King is a little jumpier because it is a little smaller, like any smaller heli).
I prefer my belt cp, because it is bigger, and thus you can fly it further away and make your movements bigger and smoother. If fly my little Honeybee CP2 in circuits, and you can only go about thirty meters away and it starts getting a little hard to see. So larger makes for a different type of flight.
As for the mechanics, the Belt CP wont take a battery over about 1800mah, as the 2100/2200 hits the main gear. I was a little disappointed about that. Lots of parts are interchangeable on belt CP with the Trex if you want to upgrade. Never stacked it so can't comment on toughness, but frame must be more rigid.
My 2 cents, I would have one of both, because they are different class helis. Both would make a great step up for a next heli, but once I have thrashed the Belt CP, I'll be going Trex or something similar.
PS, the gyro on the Belt CP gave out and I got the new Esky Heading Hold Gyro (about $35US from Honkers) and locks in tight. In fact, I have flow many years without the heading hold, and now fly first time permanantly with Heading Hold and only on the Belt CP. |
