Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > Happiness is....

A wet and windy Sunday with a shiny new heli kit to assemble.

This is the SPS turbine system in a Robbe Cuatro. The Cuatro seems to be a very nice helicopter. Its a pity so much of it will be left on the bench when this is finished.

The new frames from SPS are a work of art by themselves and the conversion to 4 servo ECCPM is so obvious and neatly done, I wonder why Robbe havent done it.

Got one too!

Hi Peter

Couldn't let you have all the glory, I've got the same set up now or rather I will have in a couple of weeks when SPS have finished the engine, hope to have it running for Charmouth and Sandown.
Going to find out how 3Dable it is

Best regards

This is how it looks all plumbed up

The ECCPM system is fairly obvious I think, it just uses one servo to push each bell crank. System 88 ECCPM !!

Hi Bob I am glad you have taken the plunge. I think this is the way to go with turbine helis. To make it fully 3D able you will need a UAT which is the small tank on the side of the main tank in the 3rd picture above. It completely stops any chance of an air bubble getting to the engine. If you cant get one, let me know and I will send you one. BTW the new Cuatro is a very nice heli, if I wasn't going all turbine, I would get one to replace the Milly.

Emile Its a prime target for a fuse, I will have to see how it flies and how I can best use the characteristics. If this one doesn't go into a fuse, I will get another one. I am thinking CH53 or something on those lines. Maybe the Super Puma. One step at a time.

That really does look superb...
and the 4 servo ECCPM. That's the thing with simplicity, sometimes it's just too obvious.
