I want to replace my QJ8 with either HDX500 or Stinger 6. I believe they are all same size using similar servos and motors. I already have all electronics, servos (BMS380, similar to HS-81) and motor (Himax 3615-1350) I used on the QJ8 and it seems I can use all these on either of the others (HDX500, Stinger 6). Am I correct in assuming that? Does anyone know otherwise?
Any comments/known issues etc that help in deciding between HDX500 and Stinger 6 would be appreciated. I fly mostly sport but beginning to 3D.

You would not see any big improvement then moving from JQ8 to HDX500. I have tried both. I would say HDX500 is suffering from same problems as JQ8:
- both have bad cyclic response
- both have bat collective ranges (solvable on both)
HDX500 has additional problem - insufficient tail authority, tail does not hold on fast climbouts.
However HDX shafts do not bent in 2600-3000RPM range. QJ shaft were benting on 2600RPM.
I still believe Helidirect will have some 3D upgrades for HDX in few weeks.

The EP8v2 Expert version has solved the high headspeed problems , and , the EP8 EX`s cyclic is way better than the Sportsman version , this heli`s (the EX) cyclic is super fast when you get the head speed up to around 2750 to 2800 RPM`s..
The EP8v2 EXPERT is a much better heli than the HDX500 by far!!
The Stinger does not even warrant any words..

Everything would be ok with EP8V2EX if not consider heavy weight! With sport version disc was already heavy loaded. EX version added even more weight to shafts and frames.
