I think HeliProz has it too, they used to sell them at $250 with the 9253 and free shipping. For $33 more you get true US warranty with it, for me it was worth it.......

I bought two 401/9253 combos from Helihut and I am completely satisfied with their performance. Great gyro and can't beat the price. Easy to set up. Easy to install.

I keep hearing about "true US warranty"...what does that mean....if I bought my GY401 combo from a company in Hawaii (HELIHUT), which the last time I checked was in the USA, why would my warranty be any different than buying from a mainland store?....Bill

HeliHut imports the stuff it sells from the Taiwaneese or Japaneese manufacturer directly and cuts out the "middle man", the US distributor. If you buy a gyro/engine/servo from a retailer that has gone through the US distributor, you warranty will be handled by thedistributor here in the US. If you have purchased from HeliHut, depending on their customer service (I have not ordered from them, so I can't say) you'll either have to ship it back to them and wait until they replace or send it back to Japan/Taiwan for you for repair, or you'd have to send it back directly to Japan/Taiwan to get it repaired, the US Distributor will not service it for you.

Overall I don't think it's a big deal but for $33 on a $200 item I just don't think it's worth the hassle.

This Japanese online store sells 401 gyro+servo combo at $115.

Unfortunately U.S. customers need to pay an extra12% for credit card payment and another $40 for shipping. So the total price is about $170.

That is Great Plane's minimum allowed advertise price. It also says right next to it that "Call for price!" which means if you call them the price is going to be $250, at least it was last October.

OK....

Dimitry,
I will take you up on proving it.
Tell you what send me one of your 401's you are selling I will fly it and break it. Then send it to Futaba USA for repair and see what happens.

Sound good?

So I suppose if you buy something second hand and have to send in in for repairs your're just scroood. Personally I don't see the repair issue as much of a problem, just bust it up so bad GP can't tell what Gyro it was let alone where the hell you bought it...

A bet??

Oh no you misunderstood me I just wanted to test the theory for you. I am willing to take the gyro and abuse it?
This is just in fun.
I support the US shops plain and simple. The only things I buy out of the US are things I couldn't get here, like your blades for instance. Now that MA has them I will try to go there, but I have to admit I do have a great price from my Candian source....
