It is still in the design/(hopefully soon) prototype phase. It will use the same canopy as the Phazor, same head as the Stinger 50, but will utilize the new dual stage tail drive. That give ya a mental picture?

Are you refering to the Phazor 600 (electric version) or the Stinger 600? Pics are available in the "Coming Soon....Phazor 600" thread.

Wjackson, is the gearing of the upcoming stinger 600 going to be similar to the gearing of the caliber 5? Also, i am wanting to start upgrading some of the stuff on this bird. Particularly i would like to get a new swash plate. But if the stinger 600 is going to have ECCPM maybe i should wait so i don't end up paying 60$ twice. I have my first major tear down coming up. I am going to be taking apart the entire helicopter. I plan on adding an aluminum tail case, CF tail blades, aluminum swash, rear mounted servo arm, and a few other parts that i would like to replace.

Really can't wait to have a newer canopy and new frame.

The new Stinger 600 will be eCCPM With carbon .
The nitro version will have many common parts with the Phazor 600, so development time should be short.
At the moment Gohbee is putting all efforts into getting the electric Phazor 600 into production. It is very close now.

As of the moment the first prototype of the nitro version is still on the computer screen.

Yes I am chomping at the bit for the nitro version also.

As of the moment the gearing arrangement for the Stinger 600 has not been determined.

What i am particularly wondering is what parts are going to be upgraded on the nitro. I am assuming, from the phazor pics, that the tail is the same as the stinger so upgrading to the metal tail case shouldn't be a problem. The swash also looks like the aluminum swash on Gohbee's website wich i would like to buy. I have about 150 to spend on various upgrades and new parts. What i don't want to do is spend the money on an upgrade now only to find out when i upgrade to the stinger 600 it can't be used anymore.

Currently, i would like to get

-metal swash (the sock one is somewhat slopy)
-metal tail case (easier to get to the belt and looks awesome)
-rear servo mount
-CF tail blades (hopefully the tail will feel more in conrtol than these century plastics i am using)

I know that eccpm and mccpm swash plates can many times differ. Is the phazor using the same metal swash that i am seeing on Gohbee's site.

Hey Cambo,

Sorry I missed your previous question. To answer your last one, the new Stinger 600 should have a 120 degree swash for ECCPM so the 90 degree aluminum will not work with the new version. The tail case will, and the 600 is also going to offer a different tail drive (in the body)) more like Hirobos or the 600n, with a secondary gear drive. No more pulleys!! I've been trying to leave Dave to his work on the Phazor and not bug him too much with my pleads and groveling for the Stinger 600
Oh and gearing. From what I can tell 8.5 ratio puts the 17,000rpm peak horsepower output of the hyper right at 2000 H/S. So spinning the 2100 bogs it right into the powerband for moves. Not sure if he'll offer a different one, but 8.5 has been working great for me.

Thanks Bill, that answers my question. I am going to wait for the stinger 600 to come out so i can grab the 120 swash with eccpm.

Hey Bill
I am also trying hard to not bug David too much on the 600 progress.
Trying being the key word.
I did talk to him yesterday and there is still good progress being made.
It is getting close and I am all messed up with the anticipation of receiving my new toyS.
And of course my warped little brain is running overtime with ideas for the nitro version.

Like you I have been happy with the 8.5 ratio for the 50.
