PM MrMel (and do a search) and I'm sure he will help you out here. I believe he had to modify the Ion-x2 frame set a bit to get them to fit, but they still ended up a bit nose heavy. Good luck.

Imop it is really too bad that MA did not spend a bit more design time on the X2 so that more battery types could be easily fitted. Maybe the X3 will be better!

yes it fits, with a mod I did, moving the battery plate about 10mm to the left (viewed from behind), I used a pipe that cut to make distances.

But, as tom said, it will be VERY nose heavy, not even a 5200mah receiver battery and a PJ in the far back will balance it by a longshot.

Saito, I wouldn't recommend 12S Airthunder 5000's either for the X2. That's close to 4 lbs of battery weight at the nose of the heli. Those packs may be too heavy for any heli... hehe.

The X2 should be happier with the much lighter 12S Extreme 3850 V2's. I have these packs on order from TP, so I will be giving them a try soon and report back. I'm also thinking 13S 3850 V2 would be another powerful and still light alternative for the X2. Good luck!
