Hi,

Please post your crash videos here. Stories are always welcome.

Here's mine:

It was a windy October afternoon. The wind was picking up and i decided to do one battery on my T-rex 450 before i have to do my homework so I decided to fly some circuits in my backyard. As i started to hover and piro turns, i decided i was ready to go so i started one circuit, half way through my circuit, i mis-judge the distance between me and my helicopter and it went right into an evergreen tree. Luckly, it was only minimum damage.

I feel so stupid lols

Today i crashed my T-rex which didn't even lift off the ground. I was programming the esc and i for some reason i mixed things up, i somehow set the max point at 0% throttle, and vice versa. Now since my servos were not centred, you can imagine what happened next. Broken tail blades, broken paddles, broken tail boom, tail assembly, flybar, main gear and small fragments of the frame.

...It was a radio glitch...

I was doing some low inverted hovering on my 3rd attempt at 3D, and started some inverted piros and rolls in mid wind (10-15mph). And my gyro started to give me problems (agian), this time i was inverted when it struck, plus the wind picked up which didn't help and it went in to an unplanned inverted circuit, i did a quarter of it to try to pick up speed to bail out of it, but lost altitude during this and then.......BANG!! I was horrified because i had just spent £30 on some Radix 325 blades which i though would have been destroyed along with most of my heli . But to my delight the only damage was...

1 set of servo gears, plus a cracked horn
And my brand new just been sprayed canopy . But it has been stuck back together .

So all in all not bad for an inverted high speed crash.

I spent 3 whole days fixing my T-Rex 450 after a bad crash. Spent over $100.00 fixing it. I finally had the thing running perfect after my head spinning around 3 times.

Then I decide to hover in my living room. Everything was going fine until I hit my idle 2 switch. I forgot that I messed with the throttle curve in normal mode. My heli shot up like a rocket and damaged my ceiling and two of my walls. It then did a chicken dance because instead of switching the hold back on I switch off my radio like a tard.

I turned the radio back on after a good 20 seconds of the heli smacking into my walls and finally got control back. I did well over $100.00 in damage to my heli. And probably more than that to my living room. Man this is an expensive hobby!

The good news is that I had most of the spare parts I needed from the last crash except for the real expensive ****. Like the swashplate and main gears. And I can put the 450 together pretty quick now.

After the crash I screamed the "F" word really loud. A few seconds later I just started laughing because there was really nothing I could do at that point.

I will still fly in my living room no matter what anyone says. Guess I havent really learned my lesson. But it beats flying in the freezing cold.
