| No question about it, my T-Rex 450SE is my largest, and best flying electric heli. But having said that, I still fly my HDX300 more than any of my five helis. I think it's a combination of being stubborn and the challenge of making it work as best it could.
As a matter of fact, it has so many home-made or modified/swapped in parts on it now that at home I call it Frankenheli. I've become very comfortable with it and have solved most, if not all issues I had with the heli.
It's funny in a way. I built my 'Rex strictly to the instructions, bought a ton of spares (thinking of how many times I crashed my Blade CP), and started flying. In over a year of flying the 'Rex, hundreds of flights, I've had NO crashes and only had to replace the main gear (lost some teeth!). I have almost enough 'Rex spares to open a hobby shop.
My HDX300 has had just about every part replaced multiple times. A lot of parts, including the frames, were modified. It is currently a reliable little heli. My worst crash saw the almost total destruction of the heli and it never even left the floor. There was a lot of rebuilding and modifications after that crash, but I ended up with an even better flying little heli.
