Tools and Field Equipment > Can the battery be changed in the Hobbico Hot Shot 2?

The cell is bad in my Hot Shot 2 and I was wondering how you take it apart to change the cell? Does the cap turn off or is it pressed into the beveled portion of the glow warmer body?

Any feedback is appreciated! I would like to know how this thing goes together before I go wrenching on it.

Thanks for your help!

I don't think it can be taken apart it looks like it's a press fit. If you get it apart and back together let me know I also have a bad one!!

It is press fit in. I held on to the beveled portion and tapped it on the table gently and pulled on it with my hands and it came apart. The problem now is finding a NiCad similar to the one in the Hot Shot. The portion that looks like a housing for a cell is actually the body of the NiCad.
