Greetings,

Yes, Scale fuselages can be tough to work with when it is time for a repair or for maintaince. Typ. the mech. have to be removed to do the work needed.

Interesting paint scheme. Do you have pictures of the original?

Have you flown it yet?

Take care,
Christopher

i also agree. i have gotten into the habbit of making everything easily removable and accessable because you never know what you will need to get to. i try only to mount things semi permanently. if i can bolt it on or in rather than glue it, i do that. (for the most part)

Greeting Airwolf Crazy,Copper Doc,
I've flown it yesterday....majestic.....I fulfill my dreams....It flown about 8 minutes(just hovering frontwards and backwards).the engine lost rpm,,May be it hot and recognised that the muffler deflactor not in place..its broke....i'm so lucky, but i have to modified the muffler by adding a steel pipe (5 cm) that can go in the muffler nose (no what i used??i use my old glow starter, yes the steel that grip the plug when starting process).got to try....i'm also tie a wire to make sure it doesn't come out again...got to try.....got to try..then i report...
Its cost me 2 hours to overcome this matter...poor thing.
OK Airwolf Crazy, Copper Doctor, thanks for you concern...
i'm a newbie....Salutes to both of you..
Oh ya..the original colour schemes is out of the world..i'm arts teacher..i'm just imagine what colour and design its looks like and WaLLAA...its finish with 2K paint and pearl mix(people spray this paint to merc or porc)..its looks shinny ,smooth and clean..
its Pearl White (top),Deep Orange (mid), Clear Green (bottom)
RAG 835
TEC
and all the caution sticker under the clear.. Thanks again Chris..happy to know u.(i'm learning to write in English) sorry for grammar........have a nice day

fly safe and be save..be a scaler...

Airwolf crazy, without meaning to hijack the thread, you raise an interesting issue "Interesting paint scheme. Do you have pictures of the original?"

While clearly those entering a scale competition need to base their model on a particular fullsize example, others (including me) might instead choose to pick a paint scheme based on what they would like to see a full-size one, not an existing one.

Does this lessen the scale factor?

In my case, I scanned through 1000+ pix on airliners.net and didn't find a paint scheme I particularly wanted, so am inventing one.

Hi friend from across the causway,
I too just completed my Bell Airwolf in a slightly different tone...Black, silver with a red stripe between the two and a pearl topcoat. I have one question. Did you experience and side to side vibration when spooling up and spooling down? I have been trying to solve this problem for the past two weeks. When headspeed it up, it is rock solid.

hello blackite207.....i've flown my Bell and its shaky a little while(on ground)..but solid as rock when hovering (3/4 stick)...may be its wheels was made from rubber/sintetic(got air inside) was not same as skid (solid on ground)before.Or may be your blade was not accurate or balance.or you have not properly mounted that machine on body.. i used plate to plate..as you noticed that i,m using predator 60.Its have a plate(as big wasser) that use on skid. so i put out side (bottom, same hole)to mount it.. WALLA..its fit and solid into frame..where do you fly blackite207...Bukit Batok?? Ahh...Welcome to Terengganu..Bring your Stuff.Wobble a bit..its OK... since its solid as rock on headspeed......happy flying.

I do not think that it makes it any less Scale than using a real paint Scheme. The scale factor is in the work and the level of detail the modeler goes to. If this is a fictious paint scheme, I am cool with that. I have seen some pretty cool Airwolfs painted using a different color scheme.

My interest was because I though the paint scheme was neat and if it did exist on a real helicopter some place then all the better.

Take care,
Christopher
