I know that is true too. I tried to reserve a spot in the campground for IRCHA. I even have an email stating that they don't reserve anything (from the AMA). Guess what I got to the campground on Tuesday, and over 1/3 of it was reserved... I guess I don't know the right people.

Helijost,

Is it possible the spots you saw reserved were for the Vendors??

I don't know the dollar amount, but I suspect that most, if not all of them paid a pretty good price for the privilege.

No, they weren't for the vendors. Plus, one of the campers in my group was a vendor..LOL.. The campground host told me that they weren't supposed to do it, but the AMA let some "special" people do it.....

I talked with seveal on the IRCHA board about Kagi (did last year too) and at that time PayPal was very expensive to a non-profit organization, such as IRCHA. Now there have been some changes and I was told that IRCHA may be able to go that way, PayPal in the future. Much more reliable system, at least that has been my experience with PayPal since just about the time they started up. It will make things much easier if IRCHA desires to go this direction and is able to pull this off. I know of many who tried to register early, as I did myself, and had trouble even getting to the registration page. Then sometimes Kagi would kick in like its supposed to, and sometimes no response at all. Sometimes no proof email from Kagi like you're supposed to get. Pre-registration is a good thing. It actually does keep the line down and you save a few bucks. Plus you get another chance at some cool prizes. If it wasn't beneficial to IRCHA for pre-registration, do you think they would offer prizes? Maybe it is just as easy to print the form, fill it out, and send it in with a check and trust snail mail to deliver. This is another option.

Man, with these gripes, I'm glad I didn't pre-reg. I just walked up to the registration trailer on the night that they were taking care of the pre-registered people, while there was no line, and asked if they could register me, and they did.

That saved me time the next day, to be sure.
