This morning I was having my second or third flight on my Logo 10 with the Align 600XL motor. All was going well looping and rolling and doing a little inverted FF. I was rolling inverted when I lost all power and went in inverted and on the nose. I'm sure it was either a Spektrum failure/lockout, or a bad solder joint. Since a bad solder joint would be, um, my fault as the builder, I'm lobbying for another of those mysterious Spektrum horror stories.

I'm trying to feel bad about the crash, but after getting my new Hurricane flying, I just don't much care about the Logo.

sorry to hear about your crash. I would have a hard time believing it was related to the spektrum system though.

or a bad solder joint

It takes a big person to admit this....I commend you as I cant say that many would admit the same.

The older I get, the better I was

Did I solder those for you Tioli? If I did then I would definately rule out bad soldering and replace it with "Dumb Thumbs" instead hehehehe

Well you were flying well before it went in and I just saw you roll her over and it just started diving nose first.

i ve been seeing alot of that happening. what i do first is tin the wire end with extra solder leaded is better. then i pre tin the deans spade extirely not just the top one side the whole thing then fuse togather. what i ve been seing is pre tin wire then fuse to the spade and the solder only applies to the one side of the spade then when flexed it seperates but if you tin the whole spade then its fusing to the whole spade. and those wire look like 10 or 8 guage what size iron do you use ? i have a 85 watt whichs works well but i also have a pace 30 watt so called lead free capable hahaha what a joke, it can barely heat a simple 22 guage wire. yet try a 16 or 14 never, to much heat is pulled from a tiny iron. my 85 is the best, cant remember what kind it is but u need it for those conections.
