New & Emerging R/C Helicopters > more expense and pain, servo probs!!

Well another thing appears to be broken!! I noticed this morning that the swash was way out of level. After disconnecting the servo arms, I noticed that on the front servo the arm was sloppy, and could be moved without resistance a couple of mm up and down. When I connected all up, this servo was doing nothing, so It appears to have failed, after 90 mins total flying!
I have a couple of cheap servo's, as i only hover, with training skids, will I be ok using a cheapo servo, is it appears to not do much?, compared with the other servo's. I just need to avoid further expense, just replaced the washout base set, feathering shaft, blades, and might need a main shaft, after brushing a wall!
Thanks

What kind of servo was it? Standard servos will not last long. A lot of the inexpensive servos will not handle vibrations well, and eventually go out. You might consider investing in a higher quality servo.
