Anyone out there have an issue with the tail making a clicking sound? I cant seem to find where its coming from. Also the brass bushing seems to be working its way out of the tail slider?

Any fixes or ideas?

Austintyler,

Just want to let you know that the same thing happened to my HDX-500. The clicking noise is the result of the pin that drives the tail shaft pulley is loose from the tail pulley. The pin in your tail shaft should be pressed fit into the tail pulley. The way I fixed it is to disassemble your tail assembley and if you have an aluminum tail pully, just put the shaft and pin in your pully and take a small punch or screwdriver and place the punch close to the cut out in the pully for the pin and hit it with a hammer. This should secure the pin in the tail pully. let me know if this worked.

make sure your belt is not twisted over itself inside the tube! I think it is that simple

A few missing teeth on your belt will also produce a slight clicking sound. Take a GOOD slow look all around your belt to make sure it's got all the teeth. Every time I've heard it on mine, there has been at least 3 or 4 teeth missing when I pulled the belt for replacement.
