MIGHTY QUICK

YES the Mighty Quick is the big one….It flies great with no noticeable vibrations at all. We have been testing 12 or 14S -2P packs power supply. It will hold up to 20+ cells yet to tested...
Our problem is the ESC that keeps cutting out..It is a Castle HV 110 …We have been on the phone with their tech people & we are trying different set-ups so we can get a full flight without cut outs.

Until we can safety fly the packs out without fear of a cut out at normal AP heights we will say in hover.

We are taking the machine out now for a test after new setting from Castle…

The machines & motor are available now....

Well your problem is your using CC HV110 controllers. It has been discussed in various places by verious people that the CChv controllers for High voltage are utter rubbish. i would try either a shultz or a jazz controller. The old saying still stands true for ESC you get what you pay for.

I hope castle will be able to help the issues, but i would definatly try the big shultz controller.

My FIRST CHOICE IS CASTLE

The Castle tech staff is very helpful so we will exhaust all efforts before giving up....

I believe they want to get it right....so we need to work with them...

DEREK YOU ARE RIGHT......THE HV110 is not ready for market use. There is clearly cut out problem...

I'm in sticker shock...

The Big SCHULTZ-EE FOR 12-14 CELLS IS 1000.00 USD....PLEASE DON'T ASK ME WHAT i THINK...

I will say with much efford & outstanding support from Castle there HV 110 has issues in the programing....That can not be fixed & Castle should not be selling these at all...

WE have spent more than 30-35 hours without any sustained flight...what a waste of time & Money

Im not made of money, and yah its spendy but there is a reason why. Dont get my wrong, i love my CC controllers, i used them in everything except aircraft that require more then 8s. I have had too many problems, long talks and phone calls with CC and still would have problems with it and my joker, and eraptor, ect.

Anyways, yah the shultz is big money, but money i spent well.

Anybody flying the Mighty Quick

Hi rsalazar

I am helping to develope the Mighty Quick and so far it really looks promising. I am in the Aerial Protography bussiness presently using a large gasser and so far the Quick is very impressive. As stated we are having problems with the esc that I hope will be resolved very soon. For the first few flights that I have had with the heli I can say that it is very smooth and has power to spare. I have been keeping the head speed down around 1300 rpm and it lifts and hovers at around 25amps. We are using 3 4S2P LiPoly packs wired in series and nothing gets hot.

As testing progresses I will update to let you know how things are going.

Use a Power Jazz and the problem is solved, sure they are alittle expensive, but deffiently not 1k. About $375 if my memory is correct. Never have had a bad Jazz. They are German made what more can you ask for.

If you dont succeed the first time, try and try again. With heli's keep on trying!

As Nolongerflying said, this might be a good alternative until CC gets the software fixed.
