Curious. I have T600 and AP2000i - in the AP2000i manual it indicates you can use the AP2000i for phasing angle adjust. Has anyone tried this configuration for flybarless (on any heli) without the gyros?

No - but really only talking about aileron/ele gyrolessness :0). Tail can stay like it is. Plan to study blade weighting instead of all the gyros. Really want to use the AP2000i for the phasing adjustment.

I tried my Trex 600 with AP 2000i plus different configurations,

a) senor and gyro
b) sensor only
c) gyro only

All of them fly good without much different (very real, even sounds like a real one), a is completely not necessary, c needs a lot of adjustment on the gyros without leveling ability so b is the best.

This is very good for full scale but never test 3D.

I didn't convert my Trex but I did do a conversion on my Raptor 50. I have flown it without gyros, too. And this is with blades designed for 3D. Compared to having the gyros in rate mode vs not installed, I could not tell the difference in a hover or slow ff. At faster speeds it got pitchy and could be bad if near the ground.

With gyros in rate, it flew as before the conversion.

From what all he scale guys said, specially weighted blades(like OF's) do help a lot as you suggest.
