is an AUW of 5lbs too heavy.. ive got 3 2s 15c 4400mah batteries to try out. its nose heavy. is that going to affect flying,no 3d, just circuits....

Can you get all of that under the canopy?

If you can... I would try it to see how it works out.

KEEP an eye on the temp of your motor... she may be working hard to fly it... and get too hot.

Are you running the stock motor? If you are... I would think that is most likely going to be too hard on it... but you can check it out pretty easily... land after a couple of minutes and see how hot it is getting.

Make sure you run your motor at 85% or more (i would do 90% or 95)... below that brushless motors run less efficent... and that heats them up... and your wieght is already going to affect your temps.

yeh, i stack em all together with little spacers between packs and put them on the top battery mount,,, yes, i think your right about temps.. i will be running all stock gear, so ill let you know how it goes in next day or two

had another look at it... i cant put them under the canopy, so ive got two in there, and the third ive rigged under the frame between the landing gear, which brings the cg back to neutral,.

went for a fly today..... you bewdy, bloody excellent... flys like my mini titan. motor n electrics barely warm

flew for 6mins.. recharging now ill see wat i put back in

Have you weighted your packs? If you have... let us know what you are carrying in batt weight.

what size blades were you flying? any trouble lifting it off? head speed?

first flight -6mins just putting around ,taking it easy put back 1870 -75 each pack..

2nd flight flips rolls, fff stall turns general hooning for 8mins -put back around 3000 mah . motor was warming up but...

weight of batteries is720 grams -no probs lifting off...
headspeed i guesstimate about 2000-2100rpm.. running in gov. mode 100-85-100.. using the stock 500mm woodies , but i think ill be swappin them out for some cf blades and ill change to cf tailblades also

If using stock setup, you may be able to get around 10 minutes safely considering other people are getting 6 minutes on 6s 2100 setup. You are on 6s 4400 so that should roughly double that or slightly lower due to the weight.

I will see if I can get a temperature gun this Sunday and we can measure the motor, speedy & batt.

If u are running governor mode on the speedy, I think your throttle curve should be a horizontal line for Idle 1 & 2?

Perthrc may have 500mm blades as they use the 500mm and 520mm on the Logo 500.

as for idle up 1 t- curve, i was thinking 85% at mid stick so the motor can have a rest, other wise i thought the temp wood by too high at a full on constant h/s.
