Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Swash plate Drivers?

So which one is better? The type that is a separate assembly like the Vario or some of the modified washout bases that people make homebrew? Or the plate/Arm style the supports the push rods as they rotate?

Mikado had the plate style and now they have switched to the washout base style.

So I am wondering witch is better? Does it depend on on the application or flying style? Is it a matter of flying style?

Any input would be great.

Using the "old" Mikado plate style with long linkages (e.g. my Jet Ranger) you got some torsion play ... this will be a phasing then in flight. And you got some friction between the plate and the linkages, too!

So it will be better to use a driver fixed to the swash and main shaft as Vario and the new Mikado one. I use the Vario in my Jet Ranger and the Mikado in my Bell 222.

Is the Mikado piece for a 10mm shaft? What is the part number for it?

Thanks - You are right. Gets a bit confusing when they roll the old part number over and assign it to a new part.
