Hi all,

I am in college and on the UAV team. I would like to ask a couple of question since you fellas probably have some good information. First off, What kinds of Camera systems are you useing on your UAV? Is there a wireless video camera with a zoom function avaliable? Thanks for the information.

Some of the KT&C bullet type cameras has digital zoom but it's digital and you know what that means.... stretching out what little pixel there is to begin with. Anyhow they are usually operated by a credit card size remote (which also controls brightness & contrast.). The remote can be hacked with a ATMEL45 chip which is then rerouted to your heli's RX. Program your TX to operate the cameras function.

Many small UAVs use Watec or Sony FCB series Block cameras. The Sonys are expensive, but have available zoom, aperature, and focus all controllable via serial link RS232.
