A beautiful day! No wind and about 10C. But the sun worried me. Seemed to seek my eyes. Started flying a little

1/2-tank later. I found myselft completely blinded by the sun. Where the f.... is my heli???? Oh there - and there! Into the dirt i went.

Align Trex 600N full-speed into the ground.

Damage:

Boom
Main blades and shaft
Paddle
Landing gear

Not too bad for a 600N? Glad it wasn't worse

it may not help now but i was taught to hold the tx up to block the sun so you don't loose site of the heli.

You can also close one eye as the model passes through the sun, then you won't be as blinded on the other side.

Sorry about the crash. Not a problem we get in England where it usually just chucks it down all the time!

no the only problem we havew in engalnd is the wind blows the nitro fumes into your eyes , just as the wind and nitro is stinging your eyes the sun pops out from behind a cloud and blinds you.
i try to wear a pair of shades when the light conditions allow.
