The Skylark uses similar parts and construction as the Piccolo. The rotor head is different and uses larger ball bearings. Most mods and upgrades for the piccolo will work on the Skylark. When setup properly, it is stable and just as easy to fly as the piccolo. If this is your first helicopter, it is a great deal as it comes with the electronics to get you started. Be aware though, that most of the Skylarks out there use 40Mhz band radios, and technically, aren't legal to be used in the US.
