What head speed are you running on your Cuatro?

I am just haveing a look around to see if there is a common head speed for the Cuatro. I know there are lots of factors that can affect your head speed, but please post your settings.

Head speed?
Gear ratio used?
Motor?
What do you use it for?

I am running 8.89 gear ratio, g231, head speed around 1400rpm i am using my Cuatro for aerial photography and film.
I am getting a slight head wobble at times and i think it could be one of two things:
1. head speed too low or,
2. i need to add one or two shims to the rotor head.

Anyone have any sugestions and help please?

A head wobble can also be that you have the head shimmed to tight as well. How many shimms do you have in already?

Hello Kima,
I am at 1400 for normal and 1550 for idle up, stock gear ratio and OS91SZH + viper head. Did you grease the o-rings in the head with silicone grease during assembly? you will get a wobble at ~ 1400 if your head packing is too tight and/or your blades are too tight in the grips. I had the wobble too but ressolved it with greasing the dampers.

Hope this helps.

Thanks sparkhead and Conair; At the moment i am only using one shim on each side.

The shake that i get is only after an aileron movement and it lasts for about 1 or 2 seconds and then settles down again. I am using a Helicommand so after i have forced an aileron stick input and then let the helicommand take over thats when the head shake starts and after a couple of seconds goes away. The shake also appears after a climbout and after a desent (if i pull the heli out from a high altitude down to eye level as soon as i add pitch to stop the decent the head shake appears and then it settles down.

I suppose "helicommand" is a sort of stabilizer for the rotor head?

Maybe you have too much gain/sensitivity in the aileron axis?

Is there a life outside the sim?

Thanks sharam - what gear ratio and motor are you using?

Pelos - Helicommand is a stabilizer for the helicopter and stabilises the horizontal axes and it works very well.

Motor is Webra 91.

Gear ratio is the standard Cuatro ratio - 8.89 if I remember properly. I use Byron 30% nitro 22% oil.
