Hey everyone, well I am loving flying my rc helicopters and have finally gotten alot better at the whole go out and fly, fix, and fly again. I have a few questions because I don't know anyone here to ask. I am looking for a smaller receiver that will work on my hdx300. I have a futaba 7chp that I uses on my hdx450 and it is trimmed and flies great. I want to keep flying both but I have a larger 8 channel pcm 1024 receiver that is just too big. Also on the 300 what batteries do you guys use? I have the small eflights that are 800 mah but that is way too small, I figure a 1350 mah or bigger, any suggestions?

on the 450 what tail rotor blades should I use that are durable enough? mine keep getting broken on the rocks, I only have a gravel area to fly on, no grass or hard surface lots of dust. One last thing I wanted to ask is what can I use to clean the moving components and should I oil it? I fly in a very dusty enviroment and really would like to keep it clean after I fly. Thanks for all your help guys.

for the 450 cut a piece of plywood to make yourself a heli pad,for take off amd landing.on my 300 i use tp 1320's my reciever is a spectrum 6100,which while requiring an upgrade to at least a dx7,is a fantastic lightweight and tiny reciever

I use a Spektrum 6000 receiver. It's very small and light. I use ThunderPower 1320 mah LiPo's on all my "Blade-sized" helis. The HDX300 needs the weight in the nose to balance correctly. If I have to add weight, it's going to be useful weight like a LiPo pack.

As for 450-sized helis, I fly my T-Rex 450SE either on my own property or at a local sports complex (completely empty, except for myself and my safety spotter).

Oh, that opens up another thought. When flying, a second set of eyes are very valuable not only to the safety of your heli, but to those that might be around you.

I use the GWS 6 ch micro receiver, it fits perfectly in between the frames of the 300.
