im waiting on a huricane 550 pro iv just bought. its got the gaui 1100kv motor,75amp esc, carbon frame and full cnc head upgrade with 500mm carbon blades and i was going to buy 2 flightpower 3s1p 3700mah 25-40c flight packs, and i was wundering what the motor is like, should i replace it or is it ok and what would be the best pinion to use cheers

I do not believe you will need a better motor. We fly all NeuMotors(sponsored). But on H550, we use Gaui110kv(tan anodized) with 75-100 flights. We are installing Neu1509 motor (1800kv) on the CF version for comparison.

2x TP3300 packs are used and it will balance perfect without shifting the tail servo to the boom.

thanks for that iv been looking at the H550 on justinchi site, the H550 iv ordered is the cf frame im glad 2 3300 batt's will fit as i thought they might be a bit big cheers, il leave the motor on and see how it flies before i make any changes thanks

I have the same set-up (CF, full metal head, silver/tan motor) but I'm running the Hyperion two 3S 1P 3200ma (30 C). I believe it's much lesser cost and lighter with great power also.
