Hey Pals ,so I get this little bird flying and its all over the place, not twitchy just sluggish not responding to my radio fast enough. I thought I could save a buck and im using these Futaba wannabees there B-8's and they seem to react fast sitting but flying is horrible. I paid about $12 a pop for the servos ,,anyone know about them? I did get a S3154 futaba servo for the tail which is great so now its mo money for the swash.

Mastic, I'm using these three little servos that are slightly smaller than S75's. Paid $8 each and they work fine. They came from a vendor that sells HDX parts. The cases are translucent blue in color.

Wow, I couldn't imagine mine without the flybar weights. And even then I use dual-rate and expo to tame the hover when flying indoors. Otherwise I just blink and it moves. Quickly!

Check out the photos in my gallery for link placement. All I can think of is that you might have the levers reversed and are getting the wrong ratio into the blades.

What are you using for a radio system? Could you possibly have an issue with latency?

was doing a search and came across this

When I had my HDX300, I used S3007's on the cyclic, they worked fine, although a crash ALWAYS trashed the gears

you should post a pic of your setup for Jerry, he helped me PLENTY when I was setting mine up, as did ARISTO when it came to ejector pin mainshafts (still have a few of those, by the way!)

Good luck. I did eventually get mine flying well, and learned alot about building and set up. I hindsight, should have spent that time flying though

I'm averaging two flights a day on my HDX300. I time out at 8 minutes which generally brings me down to 11.3 VDC under load. Yes, I know that is a conservative voltage, but I try to treat my packs gently. I charge at .75C. Wimpy yes, but it appears to be a way of getting great pack life.

When the HDX is "right" it flies great. Stuff it in or have something break or let loose in flight and it just goes to hell in a handbasket. I then seem to take hours of work and tinkering to get it back to that sweet spot for good flight characteristics.

I wonder how many of them are out there flying? From the postings on the BB's it would seem that there are just a handful of us flying them. But some number much greater than the posters are reading the threads.
