Has anyone tried the Kontronik 45-08 800kv motor in a 3DMP.
How did it affect flight times, were you able to lower the throttle curve and get a bit longer flight,
Did the amp draw stay the same,
did you notice a big improvement with the slightly higher head speed if you left the throttle settings alone.
TIA

currently got the Tango 45-07 which is what Jan reccomended when he introduced the machine several years ago.
I'm not dissapointed with the power of that moter, its awesome, however just got a possible chance on a 45-08 and would like to get some feedback before commiting.

motor..

I have flown logos with the 45-06, 07's and 08's....and honestly I think the best one was the 45-07...

the 45-06 is great on 12s but the 45-08 is a little weaker than the other 2 on 10s.

If you already have the 45-07 I would just stick with it...that's a great motor...but I have never owned or flown a 3dmp ...I am just basing this on my use in logos..

Good luck..

RussD had a 45-08 in his logo 14 and killed the batteries dead, I know he's a turbo nutter and the newer generation batts allow much higher amp pull but IMO it maybe is a step in the wrong direction?

What throttle % are you running now? if your on or close to 100% and the batts are good then go for it but TBH I'd be more tempted to try a 45-06 with 100% and/or slightly bigger pinion before risking an 08

Mind you if the price was right?

Decided against messing.
I am a tinkerer when it comes to models, and like to experiment, but in the MP's case, I'm not going to mess with perfection
