Main Discussion > Tail blade and pedals in a vigor cs kit

I just purchase the vigor CS last week, I chose the CS because I think it is one of the best models for the first class in price, although it is no cheap in price and parts, compare the new X-Cell fury expert that have the same features and a little more.

1. I notice that the package come with two different pedals, but I read in a few forums that some pilot doesn't use the stock pedals they are replacing them by carbon ones.
My question is why the kit doesn't come with one good carbon pedals instead of two pedals that most of the pilot don't use. What is wrong with the stocks ones.

2. Why the tail blade come as a regular nylon one and not a carbon as should be.

I expecting if I buy a ferrari to get only the best in the product and not to compromise about the small thinks.

I will be glad to get your perspective about the above issues.

Cheers

Vigor CS

I was wondering the same thing! I immediately ordered an aluminum tail pitch arm (from Heliproz or Rick's, I don't remember) to replace the plastic one in the kit.
I'm sure the plastic works fine, but, I figured that should have been in there in the first place.
With all the fine parts in that kit that cheap thing surprised me.
I guess they have to cut corners somewhere, but for the price of that kit I expected a bit more.----------BladeRunner.

Ronen,

I think you should at least get some decent tail blades with the kit. Most people opt for the NHP 110mm tail blades. I don't think I've ever seen a CS with the plastic tail blades on it...unless it was a JR team pilot trying to prove a point.

Since this is suppose to be "The machine Curtis flies", it seems ridiculous to put two sets of paddles in it. I think they leave the paddles out and drop the price a little.

Which paddle Curtis flies depends on what day of the week it is. I've seen his CS with the stock light paddles (with the leading edge rounded drastically), KSJ heavy carbon paddles and Miniature Aircraft old original razor paddles (no longer available), which are the ones he started with. He flew the MA paddles in Muncie and has used them on and off for years.

While the Vigor CS is a great model, but, I don't think anyone can argue that it is too expensive to repair. Horizon is aware of this and hopefully, will adjust the price of replacement parts downward.
