| BCPRepair.com suggests a 10amp fuse on the main to protect from tip-overs, so 10amps is only hit in an extreme situation. I think eFlite suggests a 25A ESC just so you don't blow your ESC in a crash.
I use the paperclip mod, so a 9amp ESC is more than adequate. I use a Thunderbird 9 ESC, rated at 9 amp with a 5 mph airflow over the controller; so I mount it on my rear servo to get the airflow from the main rotors. No problems to date... |
