Hi just looking around for local flying fields and Hobby shops in or around Clear water Fl. I guess Tampa Bay area.

Yep plenty, and they have a local monthly fly in down there. There's also two events in Jacksonville, a big one in Lakeland(mulberry) and several down in that area.

Two main shops are Archie's Hobbies n Helis and Charlie's Discount Hobbies.

There are lots of flying clubs in the area. We at the Bay City Flyers have our own separate, heli only field just north of Tampa off Linebaugh Ave and Wilsky Blvd. This is where the monthly funflies take place.
