Howdy..

Looking at buying a Raptor 60 V2, and I'm wondering what's the best engine to get with it.

I know you can get it with a TT70, and I've seen it sold with an OS.61. Do these compare well with each other?

What about putting a .91 in it? I am not looking for major 3D flight, but more for lifting power and stability (will be a video platform).

For a camera platform I'd recommend either the OS61 or the OS91. Get the extended boom and run 700 or 710 semi symetrical blades at low rpm with a 9.3 gear ratio. If the camera is heavy the 91 may be a better idea with a 7.75 gear ratio and 1500 main rotor rpm.
Now personally I don't like glow ships for camera work because of all the smoke and oil. A gasser would be a better platform.

TT 70

There is absolutly nothing wrong with the tt70 w/muffler combo. It is a great value. The OS is probably a little bit better engine but for the value of the TT 70 it is all up to how much you want to spend.

I have 2 raptor 60s both have the TT70 in them and both run perfectly

I've had pretty good luck with my TT70 also. I never could get it or the two OS 61's I tried to run properly with the TT muffler, but the TT70 runs very well with a Hatori muffler, and has more power than the OS 61. Hope this helps. Steve.
